Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She is also the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She was widely credited with establishing the current study of eyewitnesses' memory, and also children's witnesses. Professor Goodman, who has numerous papers and grants to her name and is the recipient of numerous international and national distinctions. She has advised many authorities and government agencies around the world about policies and research relating to child victims in the justice system. She is consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman also belongs to the Psychonomics Society, the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and three Divisions of Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
